What Can You Do?

There are many ways you can support RAW.

First of all, you're most welcome to JOIN us (it's free!) … or simply to talk to us (mobile contact at base of page). If you're new to the campaign, you might like first to 'get up to speed' by perusing this website (there are some interesting articles and videos under Links), and the Facebook pages of No WestConnex: Public Transport and WestConnex Action Group.

Informal networks are critical too, so we encourage you to chat to friends and neighbours, perhaps even host an informal get-together in your street or neighbourhood (a RAW representative can come along and say a few words, if you'd like them to). Already RAW members have hosted a variety of events, encompassing barbecues, Friday night drinks, music recitals, film screenings and an art exhibition.

You might also like to help out on a RAW stall, by letter-boxing your area with flyers, or by devising (and holding) a sign at a protest. If you don't fancy picking up a paintbrush, you might choose simply to borrow our White Elephant costume and appear (incognito) at a rally or a stall, at your local shopping centre, or at a set of Victoria Road traffic lights!

Help on a RAW Stall
As part of raising community awareness, fundraising and membership recruitment, RAW holds stalls from time to time at busy locations and events in the Balmain, Lilyfield and Rozelle area. To ensure the ongoing success of these stalls volunteers would be much appreciated. It only requires an hour or two of your time and it is a great way to meet fellow RAW members and the community at large.

Stall dates will be advised on the NEWS page of this site and via our regular emails.
